Office office in Paris

6-October -2014 to 10-October-2014

I have arrived in Paris for some office work. My office timings in Paris are exactly same as that of my time in Chennai. It almost takes 45 minutes to 60 minutes to reach office. It depends what travel mode I choose. There are two roues to reach office. In first root I have to take a tram and Bus thereafter. This bus directly goes to office. This is the best route in the morning. There is another route, in which I need to take, Tram - RER -Bus. It takes some more time to reach office. In last week, five days I have explored all the routes and now I am aware of plus and minus of each root.
While returning I observe the homes in country side of Paris. Homes are very very beautiful. They are very neat and made in typical European style. Each window has flowers and it looks beautiful. They are very well maintained. Watching these homes while going to office and returning from office is my favorite part.

As far as food is concerned, in all these working days I am eating my break fast at hotel and lunch at office. For night, I am depending on my own cooking skills. Interestingly I am eating food at office. Mostly I eat Rice and salads. This is healthy food. At night, I cook rice, thalipith, maggie noodles and such other food. So far I have survived my own food.

Generally I was busy at work and there is nothing much happening other than work. But I have experienced here a very neat, clean and systematic life. There are many things to learn.

Public Transpotation in Paris

Paris is famous for its museum, for Eiffel tower, as a city of romance but also it is famous for its best ever public transport service. City is divided in various zones. There are four ways of transportation, bus, metro, tram and RER (it is a railway). But the best part is they are well connected with each other. For regular travelers it is possible to buy just one Navigo card. It is the pass or card, by using which it is possible to travel by any of the above means in any zone of the city. So good thing is, it is literally possible to travel at any part of the city without carrying a single cent for complete one month.  Based on zones and the tracks of metro, tram etc. city maps are available. These maps are elaborate and self-explanatory. Once understood how to read, then it is possible to roam at any part of city without opening mouth. Tram or metro are running at every 3 to 5 minutes. So waiting is minimal. Inside the metro, or tram or RER, all stations on that root ...

Mexican food

Wow, I wrote last post 8 months back...time goes so fast. Actually having kids makes us very busy. I have toddler at home and he keeps me and my wife full time involved around him. Our life became so monotonous. I and my wife wanted to have a short break. Recently we were able to get it, finally.  I had nice evening with my wife and with kids, ya they are always with us so far. I am waiting for time when I can go with my wife for dinner alone. 😊 we went to a nice restaurant nearby. And I had great Mexican food. Well I really don't know how original Mexican food looks like or tastes. To be precise I had Indian version of Mexican food and I am loving it. I know that Indian Chinese food have no relation at all with Chinese food in China. Maybe this is the case with Mexican food also. But what I had was really good memorable food. It was all worth for money. I ordered Nachos and tachos. It was perfect. No spicy, very gentle balanced taste, slightly sweet but not much. Tortilla...

Karla Caves

Last Saturday and weekend, we decided to go for a short trip near Pune towards Mumbai at Lonavala (60KM). On the way of Lonavala there is a small tourist attraction. Karla caves. Compare to Ajanta Ellora it is very small. However, the carvings, sculptures never stops to amaze me.  If you start from Pune, then it is 6KM before reaching Lonavala. It takes 15 - 20 minutes trek and you would reach the mountain top to find Karla caves in front of you. It is protected by ASI (Archaeological Survey of India). Number of caves is small probably less than 10 but still they are amazing. If you happen to travel in rainy season, natural waterfalls are active and they are falling in front of caves. Caves mainly can be divided in two parts. One part is temple and other parts are rooms for devotees.  You should certainly plan the visit. It will give you mesmerizing experience and some great memories.  Here are some glimpse of beauty...I am sure you will visit there.
