A Different Prespective

For last two weeks I am coming to office at 5.30 AM. Yes 5.30 AM. No, I am not working in night shift or any shift. Its just that my company needs me to come at this time for some days to attend some meetings. Initially I was freaked, when I was asked to come office at 5.30. I was like, are you OK man? But then, I agreed unwillingly. If I have to attend meeting at 5.30, I have to get up at 4.15 AM, max 4.30 AM, duff  WTF. And worst part, its not just me, even my wife have to get up too. I need to get lunch outside for all these days. And, it is not that I can sleep early at night thanks to my kids. So I end up having less sleep. Well I am not writing this post to put up my complaints..ok let me share bright side of it too.

Thanks to all these meetings, I am learning lot in totally new domain/area. I am getting huge knowledge and at the same time I am becoming a unique person who hold knowledge in two or more domains. So my value as a professional is increasing, globally. I am getting to know many different people on the earth. Now I have even more friends right from Australia to Canada and in many countries in between. Isn't it great? I am getting up early and hitting the road when it is dark, I can see a different world altogether, a night world. And to my surprise there are sizeable amount of people, cars, trucks on the road. Well this is India, over one billion people, our country never sleeps. :( But good news is I have very less traffic to deal with. I can reach office in less than 15 minutes. And I am alone in the office, apart from Security. Well I am the king. I can sit anywhere and attend the meetings. No bookings are required. Cool right. I don't even have to put on head phone. I can listen with speakers. One more good thing...I can go back home pretty early. Again less traffic while returning. I get some free time in the evening for workouts. See? its not all about negatives, there are positive sides too.

This will end in next few days, and I will continue with my regular schedule. But I realized that just by changing a small thing (parameter in "Technical" language) in life how much change in our life can be brought. So, we should keep changing few things regularly in life and see how it goes. Who knows our life may get much simpler, than it is now. If not, at least we can get different experience in life which can keep us away from bore routine. I hope, I will be able to do some more tweaking of some other parameters. I assure you guys it will give you a different Perspective, a different experience. Life is all about experience, isn't it?

Reality of Real Estate in India

Now days I do not happen to read news paper daily. Sometimes on weekends I get chance to read news papers. But, one thing I have noticed that first page or cover page, a page above front page which is full of property advertisement is reaching each home everyday. They have 1 BHK, 2BHK, 3BHK flats, row houses, farm houses, farm lands, and NA plots advertisement. Now days customers have hundreds of options. They have various budgets from so called cheap flats to luxurious flats with high budgets. They provide so many amenities. It’s a matter of research how many amenities are really needed and are used. They are present just as status symbols. People are paying so much money extra for these unused facilities.  I want to put my views here about whole real estate industry in India. Home is COSTLY (?) In India all businesses, industries, jobs are concentrated to few particular cities. I feel this is done deliberately to force people to stay, gather at one place. It is wel...

Holika Dhahan

There is March already, we have some festival coming in next few days. Today here at Maharastra we celebrate a festival "Holika". And tomorrow it is Festival of Holi (Festival of colors). Although Holi is becoming very popular festival internationally and many people visit India just to enjoy holi, this post is not about Holi but its about Holika. Note the difference in the name. I feel that all Indian festivals are designed so that people in society should gather and mix up with each other.  Good news is its holiday tomorrow and its a long weekend. After long time I will be celebrating Holika. It is very interesting festival. Like all other Hindu festivals, it is about victory of good over bad. This time it is about victory of good within over the evil within us. On internet there are many stories how Holika started and so I will not discuss it here. Indians believe that fire is pure. It burns evil and what remains is pure. Anything that survives fire is pure. W...

Exploring Paris

This was my second weekend in Paris. Now, I am settled in Paris, I know the routes, I know how to search routes for any location. I am ok with food and weather. Language is not problem. People try their best to speak in English. At the same time I am trying my best to know more and more French words. My senior here company suggested some locations to see for week end. I decided to follow him. He suggested many places near Eiffel Tower. On Saturday, I started my tour with visit to a very famous place i.e Assembly Nationale. The moment I saw this building and some statues in front of build all I could say "Wow". Frankly speaking I need all kind of good adjectives to describe Paris. Its so beautiful everywhere. Does anybody know meaning of word Paris, is it Beautiful? Assembly Nationale is Gorgeous building. It is in front of Siene river. From, the bank of Siene, if looked around, in any direction, its simply beautiful view. Siene was flowing silently, and l...
