Powerless Superpower

At this moment while I am writing this post, its power outage in Chennai. I stay at one of the mainline area.  But even then power outage from 45 minutes to 120 minutes is common every day. In Chennai, a day and specially night without power is like spending time in boiler.  And it is condition of one of the metro city of India.  So can you guess about the small town and thousands of villages! It is real horrible situation out there.  In Maharashtra, there are many villages where power cut from 6 AM to 11 PM Haa! This is the time span when anybody would require electricity normally.  In today’s world electricity is synonym for life. But, as usual Indians have this bad habit to adapt to even bad and wrong things. Watch Swades movie. Today, all states are producing at least 1000 MW power less than required. And hence load shedding is the everyday word. There is no power for on an average for Four hours every day all over India. So obvious question is what is the reason for this

First team outing

On last Saturday our office organized an outing to Jade resorts in ECR (East coast road). It was a beach resort.  Outing was meant to be for some fun, relief from daily problems with product, and to increase the interaction among the teammates.  I think this purpose was well served. In the first session we conducted some team building activities. These activities gave us chance to show our creativity, interact with our team mates and also have fun. Second session after delicious lunch was reserved for enjoyment on beach. Jade resort is big resort with all the material needed for fun like swimming pool and table tennis, volley ball and yes great beach.  The most enjoyable part was roaming on the beach watching the nice green and blue water, crabs, and sea eagles.  It’s an unmanned beach. There is hardly any place in India without crowd. So it added to the peace of mind. Overall it was fun Saturday. That's Me.

Monsoon is Here...

Day before yesterday night we experienced first monsoon rain in Chennai. Generally in Chennai it is return monsoon that quench the thirst. But as per predictions from Indian Meteorological Department it rained. At night suddenly I woke up at 1.30 AM due to loud lightening followed by heavy rain. Lightening was so loud that I felt as if I am in the middle of bombing in any war. I literally experienced advancing monsoon towards North India. It will be reaching to my motherland in next few days where many are waiting impatiently. In India everyone farmers, people, even government is waiting for monsoon. Our economy still depends on it. Anyway it will save us from harsh and merciless hot weather of Chennai for next some days. Monsoon pours new hope in life here. And what ’ s the life without hope.
