A Different Prespective

For last two weeks I am coming to office at 5.30 AM. Yes 5.30 AM. No, I am not working in night shift or any shift. Its just that my company needs me to come at this time for some days to attend some meetings. Initially I was freaked, when I was asked to come office at 5.30. I was like, are you OK man? But then, I agreed unwillingly. If I have to attend meeting at 5.30, I have to get up at 4.15 AM, max 4.30 AM, duff  WTF. And worst part, its not just me, even my wife have to get up too. I need to get lunch outside for all these days. And, it is not that I can sleep early at night thanks to my kids. So I end up having less sleep. Well I am not writing this post to put up my complaints..ok let me share bright side of it too.

Thanks to all these meetings, I am learning lot in totally new domain/area. I am getting huge knowledge and at the same time I am becoming a unique person who hold knowledge in two or more domains. So my value as a professional is increasing, globally. I am getting to know many different people on the earth. Now I have even more friends right from Australia to Canada and in many countries in between. Isn't it great? I am getting up early and hitting the road when it is dark, I can see a different world altogether, a night world. And to my surprise there are sizeable amount of people, cars, trucks on the road. Well this is India, over one billion people, our country never sleeps. :( But good news is I have very less traffic to deal with. I can reach office in less than 15 minutes. And I am alone in the office, apart from Security. Well I am the king. I can sit anywhere and attend the meetings. No bookings are required. Cool right. I don't even have to put on head phone. I can listen with speakers. One more good thing...I can go back home pretty early. Again less traffic while returning. I get some free time in the evening for workouts. See? its not all about negatives, there are positive sides too.

This will end in next few days, and I will continue with my regular schedule. But I realized that just by changing a small thing (parameter in "Technical" language) in life how much change in our life can be brought. So, we should keep changing few things regularly in life and see how it goes. Who knows our life may get much simpler, than it is now. If not, at least we can get different experience in life which can keep us away from bore routine. I hope, I will be able to do some more tweaking of some other parameters. I assure you guys it will give you a different Perspective, a different experience. Life is all about experience, isn't it?

Public Transpotation in Paris

Paris is famous for its museum, for Eiffel tower, as a city of romance but also it is famous for its best ever public transport service. City is divided in various zones. There are four ways of transportation, bus, metro, tram and RER (it is a railway). But the best part is they are well connected with each other. For regular travelers it is possible to buy just one Navigo card. It is the pass or card, by using which it is possible to travel by any of the above means in any zone of the city. So good thing is, it is literally possible to travel at any part of the city without carrying a single cent for complete one month.  Based on zones and the tracks of metro, tram etc. city maps are available. These maps are elaborate and self-explanatory. Once understood how to read, then it is possible to roam at any part of city without opening mouth. Tram or metro are running at every 3 to 5 minutes. So waiting is minimal. Inside the metro, or tram or RER, all stations on that root ...

Three things I Like About Chennai

I am living in Chennai for about six months now and I was thinking what are the good thing I like about Chennai. Few things quickly popped in my mind. I am mentioning them here.  I. People are sincere about their work I will call Chennaikars to people of Chennai, who are living in Chennai irrespective of their age, gender, native place, language etc. I feel Chennaikars are much sincere about their work. It doesn’t matter what work they do. May it be engineers, doctors, any other workers. It can be observed easily when we go to any shop, tea stall, hotel etc. Just to give example, I happened to go to two different doctors few months back.  At the first doctor's place we paid consultation fees, after consultation doctor found that there is nothing wrong. So he asked reception to return money. This was new experience to me. At other time, at other doctor’s place, when doctor found patient is not cured by his medicine, he gave free consultation and medicines next t...

Karla Caves

Last Saturday and weekend, we decided to go for a short trip near Pune towards Mumbai at Lonavala (60KM). On the way of Lonavala there is a small tourist attraction. Karla caves. Compare to Ajanta Ellora it is very small. However, the carvings, sculptures never stops to amaze me.  If you start from Pune, then it is 6KM before reaching Lonavala. It takes 15 - 20 minutes trek and you would reach the mountain top to find Karla caves in front of you. It is protected by ASI (Archaeological Survey of India). Number of caves is small probably less than 10 but still they are amazing. If you happen to travel in rainy season, natural waterfalls are active and they are falling in front of caves. Caves mainly can be divided in two parts. One part is temple and other parts are rooms for devotees.  You should certainly plan the visit. It will give you mesmerizing experience and some great memories.  Here are some glimpse of beauty...I am sure you will visit there.
